I forgot this month was ending until I got on here today and saw wrap-up posts… So lost in figuring school stuff out, I forgot to write a recap post!
But September has ended, folks!
My book escapades were in spurts. I had time to read and I didn’t, I made time to read and I couldn’t… Also, I think they were all M/M novels?? Wait, no, there was a young adult one. Y’all will see below. (I think it’s the convenience of my M/M ones being portable ebooks, which is not so for my YA…)
WOW. Small hiatus there. Never got this posted due to busy-ness and then I had some homework to catch up and a paper proposal to write and AGH. It doesn’t help when you’re not that interested in the material of research AND you don’t really want this degree anymore… *shrugs* I know I’ll get busy even more later, fair warning.
ANYWAY, this book was a light, yet fun, read! I love creative historical fiction settings. Like, not historically accurate or even historically existent, much like Captive Prince and such.
Recommended if you like:
great character dynamics
a slower burning love
normal historical fiction plots (this is not a bad thing)
This week’s session of Top Ten Tuesday is anything audio! Audiobooks? Sure. Don’t wanna talk about books? Talk music, podcasts, bands, whatever!
TTT is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish!
As you can see from the title, I am just going to share some of my current favorite songs. I don’t have an all-time favorite song, so it changes as I discover. I have a few favorite bands, but not enough to make 10…
(I’ve actually been trying to find books to connect to with these songs or some other way to share them with all you worms out there (and other viewers), so this was the perfect excuse!)
I’ve been reading through some of these ebooks too fast! It’s cluttering together or making me forget thoughts as new story lines are pushed into my head…
So before I get too deep into any thing else, I wanted to do this double review! Because I read these 2 books in, like, a week… So I need to get my thoughts out as more and more books start fighting for reviews. Phew!
These 2 books are part of the same series, my first books by Annabeth Albert. This series is called #gaymers – I love that title. So these’ll kinda be small reviews due to my forgetfulness and just not having a ton to say.
:: Forgive my lull in blog action. My laptop crashed and I had a crisis trying to get it to turn back on again so I could save files – specifically the photos from Japan. Those’re important to me! All is well, now. So back to schedule! ::
I am now officially a member of the Schwab Squad! (I’m making that a thing.) I’m so glad and this was a fantastic book to start with. And then I hear her more recent books are even better? I can’t wait.
Recommended if you like:
fantastic characters and growth
psychometry and “bodies” made of memories escaping their library
keys that lead to different realms that are awesome
Welcome back to another Top Ten Tuesday! This is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The bookish. This weeks theme is…*drum rool*
Anything relating to TV shows!
Really, anything. So It’ll be fun seeing what people decide to do. Mine is basic because I don’t actually watch that much TV (and have recently hit a huge anime slump!). So I’m just doing my Top Ten anime and TV shows! Now, I’m really bad at picking favorites. So I don’t like any of these a ton more than the others on the list. And I might have more than 10.
Let’s get to it:
1. GAME OF THRONES
OMG, I just started this a few months ago and I LOVE IT. I have watch seasons 1-5, just waiting on season 6. Do I have favorite characters? YES. I love Ned Stark, Daenerys, Tyrion, JON SNOW and his luscious locks:
The “rules” are simple. All you have to do is write the first thing that comes to mind when you think about a book series you’ve either read, you’re currently reading, or a series that is on your TBR list.
I usually read series waaaaaay more than I read standalones, at least for young adult books. Lots of standalones for my m/m. So this tag is perfect! You’ll see how it works now:
