Alright. I made it to the second book. After the open-ended ending to BOaTK, I was nervous to see where things would go, but it’s Klune, so I’m like…I’m 90% sure I’ll like it. And I did! Plus, the 3rd book deals with The Kid/Ty growing up and I reeeeeally wanted to get there… I’m not a fan of the cover because it’s really stiff, but my reviews do not encompass covers, so I thought I’d mention it.

This was cute, angst-y/dramatic, and freakin’ sad at one point. Let’s get to it! Continue reading Who We Are (Bear, Otter, and The Kid #2) // A Roller-coaster of Fun and Heartache

TTT // Top 10 Character Names I’d Give Whatever I Could Name (from books)

Alright, I have a small list of loved names on my phone, so I was pretty excited when I saw this one.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is “Ten Characters I’d Name A Child/Dog/Cat/Car/Etc. After”!

I don’t think I’d be able to choose who or what I’d use each name on… I like them all enough that I could name a pet or car or something after each one.

So here is my list in no certain order!

=====

1. Kestrel

This one is from The Winner’s trilogy. I’ve only read the 1st book, but I adored her name. I didn’t immediately know it was the name of a bird until it was mentioned. But I just really like the sound of it. I also find her to be a tough character after reading The Winner’s CurseContinue reading TTT // Top 10 Character Names I’d Give Whatever I Could Name (from books)

DOUBLE REVIEW // Strong Signal & Fast Connection (Cyberlove #1 & #2)

Well then. Another double review so soon. (I read them too fast…) AND another one dealing with online gaming and stuff. I’m on a role! (This was completely unplanned. Could’ve been a mixture of liking online gaming stuff and wanting Santino Hassell’s work!)

These books are both part of the Cyberlove series written by a DUO – Megan Erickson (my first of any of her work) and Santino Hassell (love his In the Company of Shadows series).

Both were so cute!

TTT // Top 10 Books I Read Because I Was Told To

Happy Tuesday, folks! I can’t do them every week, but I’m back with another installment of Top Ten Tuesday!

This is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. And this week’s topic? All About Books You Read Because of Recommendations.

Now, if you are a bookworm, you tend to have bookworm friends. I do. And from them, as well as any from fellow bloggers/bookish community members, I have created my list of 10. (Past and present book people.)

So let’s get to it.

Oh man, with school, folks, I have so much trouble retaining thoughts on books… I read in my free time a lot, if I’m not playing FFXIII-2, but I don’t always have time to then write up a review. Bummer! So bear with me as this may be a short one. But you see the title – the second book to the Tales of the High Court series!

Recommended if you like:

  • cute romance
  • a small overarching political scheme
  • Lesto!
  • pirates
