First, hey, I’m back with my first review since hiatus. (Remember how I said I’d try getting one within the week? Forgot about not having much computer access over break, so…17 days later, here we are!) And instead of trying to make reviews for what I read while relieving stress during that school hiatus, like I mentioned, I WAS IMPATIENT TO READ MURMURATION.
And well. Reviews are hard for this one because so many little details could be spoilers… so this is probably gonna be a short one, folks.
Recommended if you like:
- Tj Klune books
- I can’t say!

Alright, I have a small list of loved names on my phone, so I was pretty excited when I saw this one.
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is “Ten Characters I’d Name A Child/Dog/Cat/Car/Etc. After”!
I don’t think I’d be able to choose who or what I’d use each name on… I like them all enough that I could name a pet or car or something after each one.
So here is my list in no certain order!
This one is from The Winner’s trilogy. I’ve only read the 1st book, but I adored her name. I didn’t immediately know it was the name of a bird until it was mentioned. But I just really like the sound of it. I also find her to be a tough character after reading The Winner’s Curse. Happy Tuesday, folks! I can’t do them every week, but I’m back with another installment of Top Ten Tuesday!
This is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. And this week’s topic? All About Books You Read Because of Recommendations.
Now, if you are a bookworm, you tend to have bookworm friends. I do. And from them, as well as any from fellow bloggers/bookish community members, I have created my list of 10. (Past and present book people.)
So let’s get to it.
**These are in no particular order** Continue reading TTT // Top 10 Books I Read Because I Was Told To
I forgot this month was ending until I got on here today and saw wrap-up posts… So lost in figuring school stuff out, I forgot to write a recap post!
But September has ended, folks!
My book escapades were in spurts. I had time to read and I didn’t, I made time to read and I couldn’t… Also, I think they were all M/M novels?? Wait, no, there was a young adult one. Y’all will see below. (I think it’s the convenience of my M/M ones being portable ebooks, which is not so for my YA…)
I read 9 books this month! (Again.) Looks like just one more book away from completing my reading challenge, too! Continue reading September 2016 RECAP // Books and the OVERWHELMING WORK OF A CAPSTONE
Welcome back to another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish!
This weeks theme allows everyone to choose their own genres and create a top 10. I chose a pretty general one, but not as general as it could be!
I chose fantasy! (I know this’ll probably be a common one.)
These books may also have overlapping genres, like paranormal, but as long as fantasy or urban fantasy is a focus, we good.
Let’s do this! It ended up being 11…
(These aren’t in any order of favorites. I recommend all of them!)

Time is just flyin’! August is already finished, too!
Since school started, I lost time to read freely what I want…lots of school reading…
BUT I ALSO HIT A SLUMP. A small one and I’m hoping to get out of it soon. I had planned some books for August, but nope. Seemed to have only affected young adult books… Like, I still read a few m/m novels, but I was still picky even with those. I think it’s partially because I had so much time to read over the summer.
I still read 9 books again, though! (6 being M/M)
Maybe it seems like less because I made less reviews this month, too… Lots of relaxing reads. Who knows if a couple of these will turn into full reviews *shrugs*
And I’m still determined to complete my reading challenge!
But yeah, let’s recap this last summer month. Continue reading August 2016 RECAP // SCHOOL STARTED and free reading time decreases…
:: OK, this is gonna be shorter than normal TTT posts for me. School just started, so I didn’t have time to finish any other posts I had planned, so this is a quick one. But I still wanted to participate a little… ::
TOP TEN TUESDAY is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! Today’s theme is in the title: do I have books still unread since before blogging??
I’m sure 90% of the bookworm bloggers do…
But I kind of cheated on this one! I also have a terrible memory and I only just made a Goodreads account several months ago, so I only just started keeping track of my TBR and whatnot.
I definitely bought these just before blogging, though, and still haven’t read them:

I was tagged by Anna @ My Bookish Dream (check her out, yo) to do this fun one! But a quick note:
PINGBACKS FROM OTHER BLOGS AREN’T WORKING FOR ME??
I checked, and the box to get pingbacks IS CHECKED. However, pingbacks for some of my pages unchecked themselves… This is the second tag I’ve come across that didn’t alert me. NO WONDER I’VE BEEN MISSING THE FUN OF TAGS. *cries*
Seriously, though, I don’t know what happened. I think I fixed it. So if you have tagged me in anything for the past 2 months or so, I didn’t know and I’m sorry! *sighs sadly*
Back to the tag!
The rules are simply that I answer the following questions. So enjoy! Continue reading The Reader Confession Tag!
I’ve been curious about this.
It’s very rarely that I actually DNF a book. Like, I’ve DNF-ed 2 books in the past that were in the middle of a series, but only recently DNF-ed 2 more – one being a standalone, the other a starter to a series. But I know some people really know to a T what they like and DNF way more often. Either way is totally fine!
I wonder, though, what makes you DNF, then?
I think I’ll just list off possible reasons, of course adding when it’s a reason for me, and see what y’all think. I think it’s really hard to get me to DNF a book, so let’s see how many I get, hah. Continue reading TOPIC // What makes you DNF books? (Did Not Finish)
OMG, I WISH I DID HAVE A FULLY LOADED GIFT CARD *breathes heavily*
I currently have a $20 one and am still trying to decide what to buy… I also worry I won’t like new ones after I’ve bought them…
The title says it all, folks. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish wherein us bloggers discuss the themed topic!
This is one I think EVERY bookworm can do, yeah?
I wish I was wealthy for the sole purpose of buying books. But most of us must fight our way to money made for purchasing beautiful blocks of paper and words (that we can sniff to our heart’s content).
Seriously, I’ve always bought and wanted to buy books over clothes, any day. (Yes, those words are clickable. Do it – it’s amusing.)
Without further ado… (the pictures are linked to Goodreads)
I still have only read the first 3 of TMI and I own TID, but that’s my TBR for August… So I’m behind. But I love the shadowhunting world and cannot wait to continue exploring. I’ve been seeing some amazing reviews and comments for it. Sounds like it has so superb characters, too.
